1st Violin:

- Three-minute solo piece of your choice above RCM level 8

- One major scale and one minor scale, three octaves

- Orchestra excerpts (to be sent after registration)

 

2nd Violin:

- Three-minute solo piece of your choice from RCM level 5-8

- One major scale and one minor scale, two or three octaves

- Orchestra excerpts (to be sent after registration)

 

3rd Violin:

- Three-minute solo piece of your choice

Viola:

- Three-minute solo piece of your choic

- Any three-octave scale

 

Cello:

- D major scale and arpeggio, three octaves

- D minor scale and arpeggio, three octaves

- Solo or etude of your choice

- Orchestra excerpts (to be sent after registration)

     Flute students are encouraged to audition on both flute and piccolo. 

     Clarinet students are encouraged to audition on both Bb and A clarinets. Bass clarinet is also welcome. 

     Oboe students are encouraged to audition on both oboe and English horn
