Toronto Sohrae Youth Orchestra welcomes auditions from youth in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) including: Toronto, North York, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Aurora, Newmarket and surrounding areas.
With over 23 years of history, we hold auditions every September. We welcome children, youth, and young adults who are passionate about orchestral music to audition on any orchestral instrument including: Piccolo, Flute, Oboe, English Horn, Clarinet, Bassoon, Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba, Violin, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass.
Toronto Sohrae Youth Orchestra is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing musical talents, fostering friendships, and serving the community. We welcome applications from youth of all religious and cultural backgrounds.
Late application for 2025-2026
We continue to accept late applications for the following orchestral positions until filled: Oboe, Bassoon, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba, Viola, Cello, and Double Bass.
◈ Age 10 to 23 (above RCM Gr 4)
◈ Weekly rehearsals are set for Fridays from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, beginning in early October and running until the final week of April.
