소래 청소년 오케스트라는 음악으로 청소년의 건전한 문화의식을 고취시키고 지역사회를 앞장서서 섬기는 토론토 최대규모의 비영리 한인 청소년 음악단체입니다.

2003년 소래교회의 앙상블로 출발하여 2004년 비영리 법인단체의 인가를 받아 독립했으며, 음악을 좋아하는 청소년들이라면 종교와 신념에 상관없이 모두가 함께 모이도록 문을 넓혔습니다.

​

틈틈이 캐나다 단체의 행사와 한인 행사에서 자원봉사 연주활동을 펼치며 일 년에 한 번 갖는 정기 연주회를 통해 수익금을 Toronto City Mission, 조이모자 선교회, 밀알 선교단 등 캐나다와 한인사회봉사단체에 기부해 왔습니다.

앞으로도 소래 청소년 오케스트라는 여러 자원봉사 연주와 정기 연주회를 통해 청소년의 건전한 문화의식 함양과 사회봉사정신을 고취시켜 나갈 것입니다.

Sohrae Youth Orchestra is the biggest non-profit organization in Toronto consisting of Korean student volunteers, aimed to improve the cultural appreciation in adolescents and to share our musical talents with the GTA community.

​

Sohrae Orchestra started out as an ensemble for Sohrae Presbyterian Church during Sunday worships in 2003. It soon grew to be an independent non-profit organization in 2004 with governmental approval.

 

Our auditions are now open to all Korean students whose love for music compels them to greater lengths, regardless of religion.

​

Sohrae Youth Orchestra volunteers at various Korean and Canadian- community festivals and holds annual fundraising concerts to donate all profits to charity organizations, such as the Toronto City Mission.

​

Our concerts have become a yearly celebration of musical talents, one of the biggest events in Korean-Canadian and the regional community.
