Toronto Sohrae Youth Orchestra 2026-27 Audition Results
Thank you to everyone who attended the Toronto Sohrae Youth Orchestra 2026-27 Auditions on September 18. Results have been sent out individually over email, so please check your inboxes.
We continue to accept late auditions for unfilled positions. Please submit your audition registration form and we will contact you to either schedule an in person audition or direct you to send a recorded audition. Toronto Sohrae Youth Orchestra 2026-27 Season Auditions
Audition registration steps:
- Submit the audition registration form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScYJqOiyFUvUunSekUOVNnih3zc2hrg6R7itiFPD2v8fkRopw/viewform?pli=1
- If you haven’t decided on your audition piece yet, it is okay to put “undecided” on the form. Register early to receive your audition packets and start practicing.
- Send the audition fee ($20 non-refundable) by etransfer to sohraeorchestra@gmail.com. Write the student’s name and instrument in the etransfer message.
- Check your inbox for your audition packet.
- Auditions will be in person at 70 Hilda Avenue, on September 18, 2026, between 5-8pm. Check your inbox for your specific audition time.

Toronto Sohrae Youth Orchestra
For over 26 years, the Toronto Sohrae Youth Orchestra has performed in community events and concert halls across the GTA including George Weston Recital Hall and Glenn Gould Studio.
Who can join?
- Music students who are already somewhat proficient on an orchestral instrument. Audition required.
- Youth ages 10 to 23.
- Must bring own instrument: violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, french horn, trombone, or tuba.
What do we do?
- Weekly rehearsals. Tutti and sectionals.
- Chamber ensemble opportunities.
- Concerto competition opportunities.
- Camp day.
- Auditions in September, Winter concert in December, Final concert in April.
